Purpose *

The White Lake Area Historical Society, Inc. is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of §501 (C)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The goal of the Society is educational.

The Society is organized to investigate and study the history of the White Lake area and vicinity and to preserve, advance and disseminate knowledge of the history of the vicinity.

The further goal of the Society is to acquire, mark and conserve historical sites and collect, preserve and display papers, books, relics and other items of historical interest and to identify and protect historical buildings.

Further, the Society’s goal is to cooperate and assist the Board of Directors in its acquisition, maintenance and operation of historical sites and buildings and foster pride in the heritage of the United States of America.

Further, the Society’s goal is to provide educational presentations to interested groups or educational systems to further enhance and engage in the promulgation of the history of the White Lake area and vicinity.
